Mateo Barron, native Angelino, son of El Salvadoran and Mexican immigrant parents, attended Loyola Marymount University where he pursued a B.A. in Business with emphasis in Marketing and Management. Shortly after graduating in 2007, Mr. Barron began his career in commercial insurance at AIG in Downtown LA as a Professional Associate then from there moved on to becoming AVP, Senior Underwriter at AXA XL. In the summer of 2021, he returned to AIG to lead the West as Regional Underwriting Manager. As of March of 2024, he is now Senior Executive Underwriter at The Hartford in the National Accounts group focusing on complex risk solutions for large multinational companies. He is deeply committed to his roots and giving back to his city.
