Heather graduated from CSUN with a B.S. in Accountancy in 1998, spending the first 13 years of her career in public accounting at Ernst & Young. She then spent 8 years as a Controller in the entertainment industry, moving into the CFO role at Studio Distribution Services LLC, a joint venture between two major film studios in the Los Angeles area. Education was always an important focus in Ms. Briggs’ family. Following in her mother’s footsteps, she taught various courses from the time she was in high school through much of her career in finance. She is passionate about ensuring equitable access to higher education for everyone. When she’s not adding up numbers, you can find her running, cheering at a Dodger game, or baking for friends and coworkers.
